Surviving Storms

The hurricane season has come upon the Caribbean and North America with #hurricanedorian creating much devastation. The hurricane heavily impacted the #Bahamas and, thankfully, many are rallying to help. 👣 #Wildmustangs also had to weather the storm. Fortunately, with all the stories of destruction, there are also encouraging stories. The #wildhorses of the #outerbanks were able to keep their #buttstothewind and survive without any known losses and human intervention. In the midst of processing the destruction, it is good to have stories of #survival. The horses of the #outerbanksnc have a legacy that is 500 years old. Here's a link to their story: This photograph is from a windy day, through our lens, on #AssateagueIsland as the #wildponies huddled together to manage the winds. #EyeoftheStorm is available for sale with a percentage of proceeds benefitting efforts to save and #rescue wild horses. #keepthemfree #Keepthemwild #horsepower #backroad_visions #horselovers #wildlifephotography #cheval #pferde #horsesofinstagram #cavalli #caballo #wildhorsepc #artadvocacy #fineartphotography #shots_of_animals #horseworld #natgeowild #iamarliespeaks

As #GrandparentsDay ends and we process the destruction of #HurricaneDorian, the #wildhorses of the #outerbanksnc provide a feel good story of survival. Their legacy is one of 500 years of survival.

Many of our grandparents have stories of survival and we are their legacy.
