After my Father passed away, I began to study stars and learned that human beings and stars are, in essence, scientifically the same material. in ASCENSION is about Love and Loved Ones Lost.

I asked Tim Ellis, a multi-talented musician and friend with whom I previously collaborated, to create a song about stars.

Did You Ever Wonder About Stars?

We traded possible lyrics – some inspired by quotes and teabag inspirations – to create the lyrics of in ASCENSION. I decided to sing in this collaboration as I began to sing daily to my Mom after she became a widow.

in ASCENSION is dedicated to Alvin Joseph Grant, my Father. He was a mechanical engineer, who helped design spaceships, loved science and introduced me to stars.
