Tea & Cakes™: Belgium

This week’s trip was amazing and full of love for Belgium. I haven’t visited Belgium in many years, so Google was a great way to fly to the comfort of the familiar.

In Belgium, I experienced a true Belgian waffle and it influences my waffle creations. The taste and texture were….

Belgium was also my first international solo trip. My friend believed a visa was unnecessary to travel from the US to Belgium. That was only true for US citizens and approved countries.

She returned to her partner and I roamed Belgium to make new friends. Because she was stuck in the airport unable to see Belgium, I returned to the airport with Belgian chocolates to comfort her and as a souvenir.

It was a wonderful weekend because I learned that I could see the World alone. It changed my life.

I learned a few things on this trip – the importance of tea as a ceremony and the influence of tea on the Belgian culture.

If you haven’t visited Belgium, I encourage you to at least make a virtual trip.

Let me know what you think about Belgium and share your favorite tea experiences.
